The Ace counts either as 1 or 11, whichever you choose. All cards are dealt from a dealing “shoe”. The Dealer’s second card is dealt face down and placed beneath the first card. The Dealer starts the game by dealing two cards face up to each Player. If you draw cards that total more than 21, your hand breaks and you lose. The object of this card game is to have the total point value of the cards dealt to you exceed the point value of the Dealer’s hand without going over 21. In the game of Blackjack, each Player’s wager is a bet against the Dealer’s hand. The rules are simple to learn and the game is easy to play. While playing you are required to physically indicate your decisions. A perfect pair – a pair of the same suit - 30 to 1.A coloured pair – a pair of the same colour but different suits - 10 to 1.A mixed pair – a pair with two different coloured cards - 5 to 1.You must be playing on the table to play Perfect Pairs. The Perfect Pairs wager must be at least the minimum amount and not more than the maximum amount. On selected tables there is an optional bet called Perfect Pairs. If you have Blackjack when the Dealer’s first card is an ace, you may ask for even money immediately and take no further part in the hand. If the dealer gets Blackjack insurance will payĢ to 1, otherwise the bet is forfeited. The insurance bet cannot exceed half of the original bet. If the Dealer’s first card is an ace, you may make a separate bet on the insurance line. All other additional wagers will be returned to you. If you have chosen the option to split or double down your hand and the Dealer draws Blackjack, you will only lose your original wager. When splitting aces, you may split only once, with each ace receiving one card only. Each hand will be completed in order and if an additional pair is dealt you may split one more time. If you select this option you must place a matching bet beside the original bet.
When you are dealt a pair on the initial deal, you have the ability to split the hand into two separate hands, and play them independently. You will then be dealt only one more card. When doubling down the additional wager must be at least the table increment and no more than the original wager.
You may double down your initial bet on any two card total that does not include an Ace. So even if the table looks busy you are also welcome to participate. Note: Up to three people may bet on any one playing box at a time, subject to the rules. If you receive an Ace and a 10 count card in the initial deal, you have Blackjack and you will be paid 3 to 2, unless the Dealer has Blackjack as well. If you tie with the Dealer, it is a stand off and you neither win nor lose. The object of the game is to beat the Dealer’s total by drawing cards that equal 21, or as close to 21 as possible, without exceeding it (busting). The initial deal consists of two cards dealt to each player and one to the Dealer. Players place their bets before any cards are dealt. The game is played with six to eight decks of playing cards.
